Marine Sculpture Debris Contest
Our Sea Turtle Day theme is about Marine Debris - garbage that ends up in the water. This contest is our way of educating and inspiring the public to reuse and recycle items more by showing how much trash ends up outdoors and in the water. Everyday items can be reused to create something new and beautiful!
The sculptures will be submitted from elementary aged children and were created with a minimum of 30% trash collected from public outdoor areas. Sculputres will be on display adjacent to the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility.
There will be 1 overall winner of this contest, which will be chosen by YOU! People’s Choice! Use your ticket to cast your vote for your favorite sculpture based on the use of trash to replicate a sea animal and creativity.
