RESCHEDULED HONOR FLIGHT TO TAKE OFF ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH
Stuart, FL (October 24, 2016) Southeast Florida Honor Flight has rescheduled the previously cancelled October 8th Honor Flight to the new date of Saturday, November 19th, 2016. The October 8th flight had to be rescheduled due the projected path of Hurricane Matthew.
The flight will take off from Palm Beach International Airport on the morning of Saturday, November 19th and will bring 28 WWII veterans, 53 Korean War veterans and one Vietnam War veteran on a trip of a lifetime to visit and reflect at the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifices.
Note that the return flight will arrive an hour earlier than most flights, touching down at PBIA at 7:20PM. The traditional Operation Homecoming is scheduled as usual, with the public encouraged to come welcome home the local veterans from their day of honor with signs of thanks, flags and cheers.
Most veterans never received a thank you for their service after the wars. This is a special opportunity to cheer, shake hands with and thank these men and women who served our nation.
Operation Homecoming takes place at Palm Beach International Airport, Level 2, Concourse A/B. Early arrival is recommended. For more information on Operation Homecoming, please call 1-855-FLYAVET(855-359-2838).
